For our World History class we were able to choose what chapters of the book we wanted to cover over the quarter. Instead of that, we suggest that each student be given a topic that they have to create a blog for. Through the course of the quarter students must update their blogs twice a week and comment on other students blogs twice a week as well. This is an example of what a student blog could look like.

Aztec Religion
A large part of the Aztec culture was sacrifice, because as a part of their religion they believed human sacrifice fed the sun and the earth. Teocalli was their religious temple where sacrificing took place. The Aztecs believed in 13 heavens and 9 hells and over a thousand gods. For more on Aztec religion go to this link.

I think this is a very good idea instead of the Power Points you do in that class. I learned nothing from the religion project I did, I cant even remember what I did it on. I was no engaged at all and I think by doing a blog I would have learned a lot more and actually remembered it
